This course has been approved by Catholic Education Melbourne as a Professional Development Program for Gaining and Maintaining Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School and Maintaining of Accreditation to Teach RE or Lead in a Catholic School. REC-011385 This course gives you an opportunity to engage with and learn more about how you can use the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities to promote student agency, co-construction, engagement and action. This will be done through the lens of ecology. Participants will be given the opportunity to develop integrated and meaningful learning opportunities using the General Capabilities and RESource Religious Education Curriculum Framework to provide opportunities for students to encounter God and develop their knowledge and appreciation of the Catholic faith and tradition. Other key resources will be explored such as the Victorian Curriculum Cross Curriculum Priority of Learning about Sustainability, Education for Sustainability in the Archdiocese of Melbourne and Horizons of Hope. This course is divided into five key sessions totalling approximately 6 hours of online learning: o Session One: Exploration of Capabilities o Session Two: Exploration of RESource Religious Education Curriculum Framework o Session Three: Strategic Resources o Session Four: Student Agency & Co-Construction o Session Five: Designing Learning Opportunities Alice Dunlop, Little Earthies Offered on an ongoing basis online throughout 2021 6 hours duration This course is designed to be fully online.
